I thought I'd post this as I've been able to source some of these non-industrialized food products and buy them directly from the producers.
We're just now able to get these items in Detroit's Eastern Market on Saturdays. The beef guy says he'll be there this coming Saturday but isn't there every week.
I've got a herd share for raw milk which I get from Randy Hampshire at the market from his Guernseys. Buying in isn't cheap but the nutritional density is superior. My wife's making cheese, yogurt, and butter every week.
Randy's also got whole grains and seeds if you have a grinder. All organic, and high-protein varieties.
Let me know if you know of any more traditional farmers growing non GM things like buckwheat, millet, or other old-school grains.
