When I posted this that batter was about a year old, it still works. LOL Think I paid $30 for it.

I replaced that battery about 6 months ago. Unfortunately they didn't have a second hand one his time.

Thank god I didn’t go replacing parts on a feeling. The alternator was putting out 14.5 volts, the voltage drop between the alternator output and the battery was 1.3 volts. These damn side post battery terminals, they look so neat and clean yet corrosion grows in between the connection. This truck is especially bad because it has two positive cables. The first one goes over to the fuse block and the second one goes on top of that one and has two wires coming from it; one to the starter and the other to the alternator. I shined the lead on the battery, took the cable ends apart with a couple of razor slices here and there and cleaned all sides of all the connections as well as taking the stud out and shining it up. Everything nice and shiny and looking good as new I put it back together and what do you know the Scan Gauge reads 14.4 volts and the multimeter detected a voltage drop of .03 volts between the battery and alternator, .2 or less is considered acceptable. I am giving the battery another week on the BatteryMINDer to hopefully desulfate and condition it further and hope to get several more years out of the battery.

The BatteryMINDer is still new to me, I’ve had it a few months but the one success story I have is a little mower battery that is on its fifth season. Most of last year and this season I would have to jump it every week. Once the mower was running for a while it would restart that day or the next but after sitting a week it would be too weak. I had it on the BatteryMINDer for two weeks and it has been working like a new battery ever since.
