I am interested in this link as I will be most assuredly moving to coal in the future. Most likely when I move further north out of the Chattanooga suburbs. No one I have met even knows the difference between anthracite and bituminous.
It's been 20 years since I left Tennessee. I guess a lot has changed since then. In the early 90's there were still 9 separate coal dealers in Knoxville. There were 2 or 3 in Chattanooga.
It was 45 dollars a ton then and I bought lots of it. There were still many, many homes with stoker furnaces as well. I guess they are all gone now.
