I would venture a guess that if coal doesn't increase, it will be taxed out of affordability by states like MA ....

The price of coal is unaffected by Cap & Tax to the best of my knowledge. They are taxing large emitters of carbon dioxide not the coal itself. Having said that their is distinct possibility the demand for it will rise in the residential sector possibly driving the price up and it's certainly possible the nitwits in Washington might decide to tax it in the future.

Maybe if they tax enough the masses will finally awaken. Observing those that I meet everyday the only thing that will probably awaken them is taking their favorite TV show off the air.

 You guys kill me!

If the answer is "Coal won't be taxed," you imagine that the sky is falling!

What was the answer again?

COAL

WON'T

BE

TAXED.

And you can thank the Democrats. :nana:

I wouldn't be so sure. If we thank the Democrat's loud enough they will realize they missed taxing something and correct their mistake. :nana:

MA is run by Democrats -- everything gets taxed & fee'd here ... and this year everything was increased. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if dumbass Duval put a "carbon feeeeeeee" on coal here in MA.

Smitty, you live in one of the wealthiest states in the country, with the best universities and the best hospitals, in fact, the best services across the board. So do I. So it rings pretty goddam hollow for either of us to say we don't like the taxes while we're staying right where we are.

You want cheap? Try Mississippi, or Alabama, or Arkansas, or Tennessee. That'll solve all your tax problems -- except one: that you'll be wishing you were back in good ol' Taxachusetts! ;)

P.S. -- And don't forget that your MA universal healthcare was put in by that dastardly Democrat -- Mitt Romney!

I know -- but what good is all that fancy *censored* when you can't afford any of it????

If I lived in any one of those states you mentioned, I'd be much happier -- and not a chance in hell would I ever come back!

I have lived most of my adult life in Texas, Florida and Tennessee. All low tax states. Why would I even consider moving to MASS or NY. I have a great life here and my children have had good educations. I am close to Vanderbilt University Hospital and drive on some of the best roads in the world.

I don't need to pay more taxes. :nana:
