Tomorrow my brother in law and I are going to Centralia. I live about 45 minutes away from Centralia and was only there once or twice when I was younger. I probably wasn't any older then 10 years old last time I went. I think we just drove by and stopped for a minute. I was always intrigued about the stories I herd growing up. Seems like science fiction in a way. And I loved how some people refused to leave. I don't know if anyone actually still lives there or not, but years ago I herd there were 1 or 2 people (families?) still there.
I have a few questions:
Are you allowed to walk down the street through Centralia? I know they have warning signs there. But I don't know if it is against the law? I want to go and take pictures and investigate around a little bit. I also do not want to fall to my death if the ground opens up and swallows me whole. If anyone does still live there do you think they would talk to me and answer questions for me? So how safe is it to walk around and investigate (providing its legal) I also will take some pictures and share them with you when I get back
Im Going to Centralia Tomorrow
