If you're in the Wyoming Valley I'd suggest it's the best.

Richard,
Stupid questions for you regarding Hudson which I never heard about until reading the forum. What brand of coal do they sell? Where's it come from? How's the quality? What sizes? Do they do deliver bulk? Come up to Bear Creek area? One more.....how's it burn compared to Reading (nut or pea)? Need to get a couple more tons next month to tide me through the rest of the winter.
Thanks, Fran
Merry Christmas!

They get it where they can, I'm going to say most of it is coming from the Hazelton area but don't quote me on that. Keep in mind Hudson is not retailer but a processor, the processing is just as important as the source. Actually more because they could take a bank of rocks with 10% coal and produce an excellent product however they would never make money doing it.Perky wrote:What brand of coal do they sell?
We dealt with them almost exclusively for 15 years so you're talking thousands of tons per year. It's little more than the guy down the road but the consistency and quality was always from acceptable to outstanding. If you get lucky and get in their the right time you might get the best coal you ever had.Perky wrote:How's the quality?
Barley, Rice, Buck, Pea and Nut... they did have some Stove last time I was in there but that's a few years ago and it was $20 more per ton but that was all coal.Perky wrote:What sizes?
They don't actually deliver themselves, however they will have someone that can take it. Tell Nancy I said HI!. Wait.... she might charge you double.Perky wrote:Do they do deliver bulk? Come up to Bear Creek area?

Richard,
Spoke with Hudson, they said their coal is from Glen Lyon. What brand would that be? Didn't know they still mined there.
