Cool Whole House Temp/Humidity Monitor

I recently purchased an Oregon Scientific Multi-Room Indoor-Climate Monitor w/Atomic Clock plus Weather Forecaster - RMR500A http://www.amazon.com/Oregon-Scientific-Multi-Room-Indoor-Climate-Forecaster/dp/B0013542IM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1261577850&sr=8-1

+ 2 extra remote sensors, which allows me to monitor the temp & humidity from 4 different locations in my home plus the outside.

I have it mounted onthe wall above my computer & at a glance now I can see which rooms need more heat from my stove.

I love it!

Me too!

btw......I keep the upstairs cool during the day as noone is up there so I keep the heat mainly down here in the finished basement where me & the dog are! :lol:

Mid afternoon I'll start a few fans to get the warm air circulated upstairs when my wife will be home from work.
One problem is the humidity sensor on the main unit appears to be stuck on the number "2" & not changing. I have written to Oregon Scientific to see if a simple reset will fix this.

If you look at the readings, I like to keep the bedroom cooler than the other rooms & the kitchen & den always are within 1 degreee temp/humidity difference.
Basement (where the stove is) is usualy about 5-6* warmer than upstairs.

Fans on & upstairs temps coming up nicely.
(Main Unit humidity sensor still stuck on "2" but with low humidity readings all around, I guess it's time to crank up the whole house console humidifier!)

Just filled & started the console humidfiier & it'll probably take a day for the very dry house air to start to moisten up. I'll post pics tomorrow of any changes I see on the climate monitor.

Up to desired temp upstairs & humidity levels already creeeping up too!

Humidity levels coming up nicely since I started the humidfier yesterday & the humidity reading "Here" wasn't jammed on # "2" at all....That was the actual reading! :shock:

(It's now 22% & rising. I guess being in the line of the dry heat being thrown off the stove by the circulation fan gave for the dry level)
