It has everything to do with Foley. This video is from the 22nd. The Senate was full of republicans and democrats alike. No one raised any flags (and there were at least 40 colleagues in that space who would love to make noise about this if they had any suspicions). In addition, there are thousands upon thousands of people who watch C-Span, including lots of ambitious interns at Faux News because that's their job. Every media outlet, in fact, has people both in the chamber and watching the proceedings. Blogs galore monitor the proceedings. They are all broadcast live via Senate TV on the internet and C-Span.
On Sunday, a full five days later, Mark Foley posts on his facebook that he thinks Baucus was drunk. Prior to his smear, not one single person raised a flag! Not one, Richard. Zilch, nada.
This is simply an ugly smear campaign by admitted pedophile Mark Foley. Nothing more, nothing less. No one else mentioned it for a full five days because there wasn't anything to mention.
Of course, since you deleted the post I'm responding to, this reply won't make sense to others so I'll summarize ala mark foley: Richard must be drunk because he's deleting posts now but what he said is that he didn't think Mark Foley had anything to do with this smear campaign against Sen. Baucus. I mean, he must be drunk because why else would he act that way?
