Max Baucus Drunk on Senate floor?

I'm sure there might be medical reasons for this but my drunk radar says he's bombed. I can't find any comments about it anywhere from the Senator himself.

Christ sake!! So sick of hearing the same crap from these morons!! Felt like I was listening to a Barney Frank speech, with a touch less arrogance.

Who knows whether he's had a drink or two? And who cares?

What amazes me is that old Max stayed sober as long as he did, having to work with a bunch of duplicitious a$$holes who -- and he was absolutely right -- either had no interest in doing anything "bi-partisan" at all and were from the outset engaged in a dilatory, moving-target tactical shell-game in their party's strategy to block reform of any kind once again, or were forced by their leadership to do so -- hence his frustration with their lack of "courage."

But the bottom line is that, from Grassley to Snowe, to McCain on climate change, GOP credibility in the Senate has been shot to hell.

No wonder Max had a second, or third, martini for lunch. :shots:

This accusation started with Mark Foley. I'm don't think he's a very reliable judge of character or behavior in others unless it involves hitting on teenage boys.

What a surprise. Just more viral GOP smear politics, this time from a pedophile:

Tyler Matsdorf, spokesman for the Montana Democrat, asked that the statement be carried in full, which it is here:

"When his friend of 30 years Ted Kennedy, with whom he had fought so hard to provide health care to children, was being used as a cheap foil to oppose health care reform, Senator Baucus gave a passionate defense. Unfortunately, those who want to kill any meaningful reform, turned it into an unfounded, untrue personal smear internet rumor. This is beyond the pale and this type of gutter politics has no place in the public sphere. It is this type of slander that makes Montanans, and Americans, disgusted with the politics as usual in Washington. And what is even more sad is that such a personal attack would be given any validity at all, let alone being elevated to the status of "news".

Which raises a question: what are you guys doing following the likes of Mark Foley? :gee:

Do you think your clients would care if you showed up in court drunk? I do not think it's too much to expect that our legislators are sober when they are in session.

Oh, Richard, even when I'm drunk I could hit that out of the park:

I don't think it's too much to expect that you guys would look at the sources of the content you post and, if it's an unsubstantiated allegation from a person who has a proven record of being a liar and child molester, maybe it would be a good idea to back off a little. bop2

Where's your proof that he was drunk? The word of a child molester is your only "evidence".

Deflect....Deflect....Deflect.... I don't know what Foley has said about this and don't really give a rats ass. The video speaks for itself.

You know what, Richard? It doesn't matter, because nothing Baucus said in the first vid was incorrect, either grammatically or in substance.

So the point is that, yeah, the vid does speak for itself: even if the scurrilous accusation of the known child molester were true and Max was sh!t-faced, he still had enough to completely destroy the cowards on the other side of the aisle.

Put another way, Max Baucus with a snoot-full makes more sense than the Republicans he was supposedly negotiating with.

But you're doing a good job for your site here, Richard. You're putting up crap that generates hits, both for and against. On that, I must salute you. :notworthy:
