CoaLen here.
I'm lucky enough to live in the snowbelt with Ken; just a few miles southwest of him.
I'm burning Blaschak rice in a Keystoker Koker for the second winter.
I drive a county transit bus for my "retirement" job and I'm in and out of homes all over the county. We have the 4th largest Amish community in the world here. I can tell you first hand, there's a lot of anthracite being burned by the Amish!
Of course, they all use hand fed stoves, most of them Harmans, some Hitzers. What they don't do is use computers so we won't see them on here.
Ken, congratulation on your promotion by The Mayor!

Well,a little late on this..
Hello,Ohio !
I should've introduced myself first, but I've enjoyed the NEPA Board so much that I've neglected to sign in. I live in the Northeast corner of Geauga County here in the Snow Belt of Ohio.(not very far from the PA. border) I'm shocked at how little coal use there is in our neck of the woods. I know alot of Folks had Cleveland roots and hated the old Bituminous days of the coal furnace. We seem to be in a "No Coal Zone" with Cleveland to the West,The Bit mines well to our South, and your Anthracite mines well to our east in Pennsy. I feel lucky that just to the south of us in Middlefield there are several Coal dealers. I have bought from Bosler Bros. and Horner Trucking(To try out the Blasciuk). I'm really looking forward to getting a coal movement started in our area. Possibly to the point of being able to go mine-direct to stockpile...Little bites...Little bites..
Remember,There's No Site Like Anthracite! Hambden Bob
