You're right, Smitty, but he's got, um, a couple little problems :
1. Rudy's the personification of NYC, so, even if he stood for things that were liked upstate, he'd never be trusted, much less embraced.
2. He's pro-choice.
3. He's a gun-control advocate.
4. He endorsed Mario Cuomo, the devil incarnate upstate.
