has anybody got coal from summit coal, and how good is it.

I burned Summit last year and it made good heat with no problems.I also like their loading set up at the breaker.

I am burning Superior this season and I don't see any big difference between the two.They are both very good.

Yes, Summit is good coal and it's clean without much wood,wire, ect.

Both Red & White ash at Summit Suface mined coal much lower ash content then Superior 9 to 10% ash content but the btu per lb is also lower .
Superior is Deep mined Red ash coal with a little white ash coal mixed in 12.5 to 14% ash content 160 ton Superior Vs 160 or 170 a ton at Summit .
If you want to burn good low ash content red ash coal then goto UAE Harmony mine 150 a ton 8% ash lots of btu's

Couldnt we have a Sticky thread with the latest prices and ash content on local mines in the nepa area with directions, so you dont have to post prices and directions to coal breakers every day?
