What kind of coal are they shoveling in Hell ?

In many old movies Ive seen Hell depicted as a place where the inmates are shoveling coal into a giant furnace.
The best example is "Angel On my Shoulder" with Claude Raines 1939 or thereabouts.

I just watched the movie and this question occurred to me:

................Are they are shoveling Bituminous or Anthracite ?
