Thanks, Stant

I bought this one from Garinger. Nice lil' ball bearing motor that doesn't mind if it is speed reduced.

YOu need to look on the motor itself for the model #, each stove model may be slightly different combustion blowers.

The Guys at LL should know which one it takes.

It takes a B30 Fasco 45cfm . But to be honest they are very reliable as long as they are kept clean and a drop of oil every now and then, it should last for years . The Dayton version I believe is made in China .Dave

You mean the Fasco that is "Assembled in Mexico"?

I bought one from Grainger. 11TDN7 50 CFM free air. Yes made in China, but I am sure it was made by skilled craftsmen to exacting specifications  It does have ball bearings and is quieter than the Fasco 50747-D401 from Mexico that shipped with my new Keystoker.Sleeve bearings are supposed to be quieter when new than ball bearings but that has not been my experience.

Matthaus, check out Emachine shop. http://www.emachineshop.com/ They provide free software that allows you to design your part. It's Autocad file format compatible and has an integrated pricing for prototype volumes. Including pricing is a very innovative feature which allows design trade offs for lower piece prices. Prototype quality production is done in the USA.

For those just looking for free mechanical design software it may be a solution for you. It's somewhat limited but with some other freeware it can be a useful design tool.

I'd be amazed if you can even get US made steel these days despite PA once being the steel center of much of the world. China makes steel so cheaply they don't even want their shipping containers sent back after sending Chinese products to the US.
