Just a heads-up. In my journey to debug my Windows 2000 Page Load Failure problem, I found an interesting version of Linux that is very polished and user friendly: Linux Mint 8. http://www.linuxmint.com/
Down load the iso image. Burn the CD. Change the BIOS to boot from CD first. Stick it in and GO!
Boot from CD with no hard drive installation. I am posting right now from Linux using the built-in Firefox 3.5. Connected to the internet seamlessly, found my USB thumb drive. With 512 MB of installed memory: have open two Browser windows, Thunderbird email, system monitor, text editor, and streaming 40lbhead audio. Memory usage 55%. AND NO HARD DRIVE. Very Cool!
