bad choice

My buddy has a Leisure Line Econo. When I go out to visit him we clean her up and turn her on takes about a half hour of vacuuming and blowing out all the stuff you don't want in there. Now thats with taking her out of the house and completely apart then back together again.
He told me he is sure the next guy that gets it will find something to complain about with it, but the next guy won't get it till he is dead.

Rico, I was going to copy and post your PM here but instead I will keep it just that,,, A private message. I will say that you titled it "Mind your own business", and you also said...

[REMOVED]

By posting on a public forum, unfortunately, you make it everyone's business. If you wanted to keep it "your" business and wanted everyone else, or at least me, to mind my own, you should have sent the PM to the guys at Leisure Line, or politely asked if anyone could help you in obtaining their number or some other way of contacting them, to keep it "your" business.

Rico,

Please keep us updated on the status of your situation. If you feel this site was created to inform people of problems then for the people who will use this site in the future as a reference in choosing which stove to purchase please provide the outcome. As I am sure now that Dave and Matt from Leisure LIne are aware of the problem it will be fixed asap if not fixed already.

Sincerely,

Another Satisfied Customer

Lets not attack anyone . I understand Rico's frustration. He was unfortunately in a situation where he didn't feel he was getting helped . I do hope people contact us before posting negative comments ,but it is America and free speech is allowed. We try our best sometimes things get missed . The dealer was doing his job and contacted Matt which I wasn't aware of till Monday and Matt was doing what he could do. The motor should have gone out on Friday but the shipper for some reason didn't see the pkg to be picked up. We are not taking the original post personally instead we see it as an area we can improve and learn from . This whole thing is new for us . We are committed to be the best . Or maybe we just need to be committed ,not sure yet :D . Thanks everyone

I apologize Richard. I will keep all feeble attempts at insults and name calling between Rico and myself.

I would just like to say that my experience was totally different. We ordered our Pocono 110,000BTU last March. We picked it up in June or July. We ordered a bottom vent with the intention of using our 150 year old flu like we did for our hand fired stove. When we went to have the flu cleaned in August, we discovered we could no longer use our flu. We bought a power vent from another Leisure Line owner who sent it without the WMO switch. A joint misunderstanding. However, Jerry shipped one we purchased from him and it arrived within 2 days ground to NJ. Great service to a customer who needed help.

Then we threw away the starter ring with the ash in January when we shut the stove down to clean and oil everything including the power vent. I called the outlet and had two new rings within a week. No one could ask for better service. It is pride of ownership and true sincere care. If things were appearing to be slower than I think they should be, I would have made a neutral inquiry to see if there was a clerical error. I would not question the purchase unless they gave Harman (no service) service to me.

I do that for efm.

Back to this post.......They say that bad news travels 10 times faster than good news and this guy, Rico, really stirred up a storm and hasn't said a thing since day one.

We have a Hyfire II that was purchased and installed last year. This is our first winter using it and aside from a few simple adjustment issues, which are to be expected with a new stove and newbies to coal, we are totally happy with our stove and the customer service that comes with it! I think the OP may be one of those forum people who come on a forum just to stir up a s*** storm for the fun of it, since he's only made that one post. Lots of those around. He's probably working for a competitor...

All is well that ends well. When stuff does not work, grief. When NEW stuff does not work, angry grief. I hope and trust that the issue has been resolved and the heat is radiating out of the stove. :D
