Fully aware on the financial chicanery that is afoot.

Unfortunately, the door has still been left open after "I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system."

There is no evidence that there is an effort to close that door and return to a capitalist free system. To the contrary and overwhelmingly, we are moving at a disconcerting speed in the wrong direction.

Beware what steps in to fill the void.

You are correct it did start long before 1.5 years ago, a better choice of words would of been came to the attention of the American public. You ever notice that the public only takes notice to things once it gets to there wallets or pocketbook. The public needs to get just a tad more in the loop.
The public likes it when the stock market goes up. The public hates it when the prices go up. I guess the public hasn't realized how they work hand in hand yet. They call it the "loop" for a reason people.
You know another thing thats funny. Some folks on here jest about President Obama being a Commie and the Socialist ways he is heading the country in, well if you think that and you live here just think what the rest of the world thinks and they don't live here.
Maybe the people that keep saying we are going Commie or Socialist are the ones that are keeping China at bay. So hurray to the ones that say we are going commie and Socialist. Because if China ever decides they don't want to buy our paper we be in a world of hurt fast.

well, if and when..... there are a core group of us Americans that can still hunt, fish, tend crops, burn wood, coal and make things with our hands and survive. I personally dont fear the dramatic extreme media fueled hype of what-if-ism....

men and women have endured much havoc in our brief history on this planet

what i do fear is the younger set who thru this same media fueled society has only come to know how to play a friggin game on a cathode ray tube or liquid crystal display or plazma screen...

dont know which end of a shovel to use..... its fun to use this venue to share but its also fun to go outside and breathe and see the sky and feel the reality of global warming as it snows like a banchee 8-)

 Yeah I thought we were supposed to get WARMER with global warming??? :D

I agree 100%. The younger gen wouldn't know the first thing about survival. I'm pretty confident that myself & my neighbors would be a society unto ourselves if the *censored* ever hit the fan. We are in a perfect location for defensive purposes. ;)

Heres what I got from his speech:

1) Republicans were obstructionist when they should have rallied around the bill
2) Dems were cowards for not rallying around the bill.
3) He was the victim of Congress.

Heres what I hear from the people of the US

1) THe bill is bad because its so huge and mysterious. No one really knows what it says or how much it will cost.
2) The Republicans were right to oppose it because they were listening to the people.
The Mass. miracle was the people's way of putting an exclamation point on that . Scott Brown ran on being #41.
3) The Dems are correct to be scared for their jobs. They know the people don't want it and they would not shove it thru.

Obama refuses to see that Obama is the cause of his effect. He crafted the bill behind closed doors. He excluded Republicans and even his own party.
Obama/Reeed/Pelosi made the shocking pork deals that angered the Nation (Louisiana, Nebraska, Unions).
It was Obama that promised transparency and no more back room deals. He gave us the opposite.

This speech was smooth but it was after all the persona.. it is just a new form of the blame game.

Instead of just blaming Bush, he now blames Congress.

His own senators will soon realize that he wants them to take the fall for Obama's own back room deals and shocking pork barrel bribes.
They will unite to finally tell him they will NOT shove it thru.

Obama must come full circle and blame Obama!

Yeah, the sneaky tactics congress has been using with regards to these last minute "add-ons" has to stop.

The left (Harry Ried, to be exact) successfully turned 2.1 million acres out west, IN 6 DAYS, into "wilderness areas", where no one can ride ATV's or dirtbikes, hike, mountainbike, hunt, fish ... nothing! All this by using a typical left tactic of political "sleight of hand", by adding a last minute add-on to The Revolutionary War and War of 1812 Battlefield Protection Act. Nobody saw it coming. Who would suspect that bill would be an anti off-roading piece? Sneaky pricks...

If the party of no was indeed locked out as some believe they locked themselves out. The help comm. & senate finance bills had nearly 200 republican amendments on 7-15-09 the final bill had 161 rep. amendments, on 7-30-09 Boehner anounced on TV that the party of no would be presenting their HC bill in 24 to 48 hours. It still hasn`t come, time & time again they did nothing but try & hold back HC at every oppertunity, just how long & how many times is HC going to wait? It`s been going on for over 70 years already its not something that just came up & rushed thru, everyone knew it was coming. Just think if the party of no comes into power are they really going to expect co-operation or are they going to get a Democratic party of no? Bottom line is if the governing bodies keep up this third grade mentality the whole country (that they all took an oath to serve) will be doomed.

...which equals one year of US GDP. That means that we owe to other nations, the sum total of the profits and labor of each and every US citizen and business in the USA earned during the course of one year. That's a big chunk of change.

(sorry, had to explain the magnitude a bit)
