ive been burning bit coal and nothing else since I had my stove and have never been disappointed with it. plus it had a good price point...(free, im a coal miner) but after many long hours reading on your site I went today and got my first ton of chestnut anthracite. I love it!!! burns great with no smell and from what most people tell me no more blow ups. I got it at zubeks outside of berlin Pa. all they could tell me is that it came from a mine in hazelton and that it was good. best 190 I spent this new year. thanks to all for helping me to see those sexy blue ladys!!!

Oh, you can have blowups ... BOOM! How to Turn Your Stove Into Small Bomb! LOL!
Yeah, there's nothing that beats anthracite coal for keeping warm. Glad you came to the dark side!

definitely here to stay. not to say ill never burn bit again,(free is good) but only when I have time to fool with it more. seems like hard coal just goes on and you don't have to mess with it. I put 3 good shovels in over 4 hours ago and its going good and strong. house is toasty and it's damn cold out. anyone know about the coal from hazleton? a friend of mine takes the long journey up in Pa and gets coal from LCN? says its the cleanest, hottest, best burnning coal out there. I have nothing to compair mine too but it seems good

I burn Blaschak bagged nut. It burns for 24 hours straight without even looking at it. After a single digit night like last night ( and tonight ), I might get 22 hours instead. If I really turn her up, 20 hours.

It has to be off the chart because SMITTY does not have a REV limmiter on his tachometer. :punk:Chuck_Steak wrote:Smitty, what is the temp on the side of your stove, when you get 22hours?SMITTY wrote:I burn Blaschak bagged nut. Full-bore is the only way!
Right before I load up after it was cranking all night & day, the sides, about 6" below the top in the center, can drop to 325°-375° range. After the fire gets going a few hours after a reload, it will be just over 500° in that area.
