Its the peoples seat

In your opinion - did Brown's reply to Gergen really make much of a difference in voter's minds of who "won" the debate?

I saw one clip where a voter said he was so relieved to get out from under the Kennedys.

Brown's "zinger" also spurred a lot of funny follow up quips

my fav is: If you really want to fill Kennedy's seat - go to the AA meeting next week

Many people posted with handles such as: Chappy Quiddick, Mary Jo Kapechne (spelling?) etc.

Others said the seat should be named the Mary Jo Kapechne memorial seat.

Suprising how much anti Kennedy sentiment surfaced now that their power is broken.

Patrick is too much of a drunk and drug addict with multiple DUIs, wrecks and arrests to make a serious run for the seat.

Come to think of it - it didn't stop Teddy.

The Kennedy's introduced corruption to MA. Ever since the Kennedy family transitioned from bootlegging liquor to politics, MA has never been the same. The children: Ted, John, etc ... were raised in this atmosphere & showered with wealth -- they knew no other lifestyle. That grew into a sense of entitlement that is clearly seen in their arrogance. That arrogance has spread like herpes to the rest of the career politicians that aspire to have a near 5 decade run of corruption, as Ted did.

I don't really care how bad this sounds, but it is the truth -- Ted dying was the best thing that ever happened to MA politically. It's as if a dictator has finally let go of the reins.

He would have it because he took care of the Commonwealth. If you needed something, his office would help you. It is called
taking care of your people. Hard work and loyalty.... not hard to figure out.

Yep, exactly. When the state gets short on funds (which is constantly, as the spending is completely out of control), you'll get a hidden tax charged to you ... if you don't drive like a grandma, or if you can't afford a vehicle built within the last few years. Tickets: the hidden tax. Oh , it;s not just the ticket ....... you'll also get porked for 6 years on your insurance for said ticket.

When it comes to a good, ol' fashioned screwin', MA is the leader!

It is the 'free money' problem...
Ted did bring home the bacon and took care of his people...
Problem was the deficit spending and ever increasing budgets...
Now they have to cut some spending to have a balanced cash flow...
In the past all they did was up the income side by increasing 'taxes'...
Vicki was the best thing to happen to Ted...
She helped the 'good' come out...
The family and Ted's history will always tarnish what good things they do...
