samhill,we've lost 3 small dairy farms in this area over the past year--check out what people pay for a gallon of milk in the store & what the farmer gets for a pound--real soon there will be no mom & pop farms because of taxes,health insurance,etc.--these people are our lifeline if food isn't produced reasonably for people to exist--it won't matter what shape the banks are in--- the little guy needs help but he always seems to get swept under the carpet------then again,we're not AIG & don't spent alot of money feeding the pig or in english, making outlandish political contributions I wonder how obama would feel if all his,as you say FRIENDS would put their feet up on his desk---you did say his freinds didn't you??

Freetown fred, I had a simular conversation with one of my neighbors thats even worse of being in Ohio, he was saying how B.O. screwed the dairy farmer with a newer program that cut his price & he was thinking about just dumping milk & giving to friends. Anyway I took the time to look it up to better understand what he was talking about (being a city guy) it turns out that Buddy Bush is the one that put this program in. Guess he figures big oil good, small farmers evil. I can also recall a huge benifit given to huge farms a few years ago, there was some talk of it where David Letterman & a large # of politicians (on both sides) & other gentleman millionair farmers all got millions in subsidies.

Obama with his repeated relaxing feet up style prolly gets him into the "loafing" catagory of politicians.... sort of like these two...

I know what you mean about cyberspace, happens to me also. I think B.O. is trying to change some things but its going to be hard with all old school politicians on both sides, they have spent decades on screwing things up just the way its most benificial for them & they don`t want change. I always knew that once I start on SS something would happen, you can blame my luck for no increase, heck I never even got that bonus check. I just can`t see blaming someone for something they didn`t do or for that matter giving credit to someone for somebody elses work.

The only change I've seen around here is everyone moved from the middle class to the lower class, thanks to increased in taxes and fees across the board. Cost of living has gone up here more in 1 year than in the previous 10.

If that's change, please KEEP IT!

What Fed. taxes have gone up? What kind of Fed. fees? I must have missed that.

I'm talking state. This state is and has been run by the same party that's now in the White House. They cry poverty, but instead of cutting their reckless spending they jack up fees and add new taxes. Fantastic idea in a recession!

I don't have any federal example for you on paper, but when you do your taxes this year, try and claim $1000 in medical bills. You used to be able to. Now the limit is $4500!! Donate a car to charity? GONE - no tax break anymore. Obama is also re-instating the marriage penalty that Bush rolled back.

This is how dems give you the illusion that your not paying more taxes ... they're killing deductions! Plus they tax the hell out of large companies & say their sticking it to the man. Well, who do you think the man is going to stick it to???? Ponder that one, and wonder why your phone, TV, electric, & insurance bills have all gone up up UP!!

I got the $200.00 bonus check last year & paid taxes on it this year--this country is like a sick baby,you wish you could do something magic to fix it,but you know you can't--it's not just BO but politicians in general seem to excell in:"if you can't dazzle them w/ your brilliance,baffle them w/ your *censored*--we are,in NYS,dealing with natural gas drilling on the Marcellus shale bed--what a cluster f-ck that is--the pro's--the con's fracking/no fracking--horizontal drilling/no horizontal drilling-----DEC is involved--they'll fix it---RIGHT
