lincolnmania wrote:i recently switched to uae.......i had been using superior since jc showed me the light a few yrs ago, and the superior was good till recently......the last few loads had so much ash in them that i had to dump my ash tubs 2x a day and the heat output was not very good.
the uae is hot hot hot! burning real well in the efm, well in the alaska too, but i'm getting ash cakes in the ash pan, which is not a huge deal.
BlackDog wrote:Been burning Little Buck since Friday and now I can give a better review. Coal was good and clean, a bit bigger than most nut that I burn but I like it better that way. 36 hour burn on one load with no shake down and no refuel in a Harman Mark II, stack temp at 90 and stove temp at 240 after the 36 hour mark, shook it down and reloaded with no fight to keep it going. I will not normally leave it go that long but did it as a trial. I am now a believer and I think it beats out Harmony (at least in my stove), once I fix my bin I will fill it with 4 ton.
