Coal was good and clean, a bit bigger than most nut that I burn but I like it better that way. 36 hour burn on one load with no shake down and no refuel in a Harman Mark II, stack temp at 90 and stove temp at 240 after the 36 hour mark, shook it down and reloaded with no fight to keep it going. I will not normally leave it go that long but did it as a trial. I am now a believer and I think it beats out Harmony (at least in my stove), once I fix my bin I will fill it with 4 ton.
Disagree with you on that it beats Harmony mine coal Larry's coal is good but not that good It does not have the btu's that harmony has and it produces a lot of fly ash The ash content is higher as well Harmony is 6.5 % very little fly ash Larry's is 7.5 to 8% with a lot of fly ash he was in the middle split vein Now he is hitting the buck vein and the 7 footer veins
he is still digging around looking to sink another hole Harmony is always in the Lykens # 2 Vein .
You will have to clean out the stove and pipe more if you burn a lot of Larry's coal but for the price per ton can't beat it .
