I have been offered a Victory 700 coal stove that looks to be in good condition rated at 60k BTU with a 40lb hopper made by Union Mfg Boyerstown ,PaThe grate basket is warped pretty badly. Do any of you know anything about this stove , durability , heat output ,are they still in business, availability of parts. It has gravity feed and burns pea. It is cast iron with a steel shroud.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
Larry

My understanding is that it is a copy of or very similar to the Franco Belge.

I think it has been mentioned a few times. Try the search function.

I say make room and give the stove a home. Free is a great price and I bet you will be able to find any parts you need or ones that will work through any one of the online stores that provide stove parts. If you can't, you'll have lost nothing but your labor as most municipalities don't charge for disposing of recyclable metals. In my case I would just have to take it to the landfill. To me this is a no lose situation, go for it! Lisa

My friend has one of those, it's a great stove, requires no electricity, and the best part I like: " I can burn small wood logs in it once and a while "

The heat output is great, the only thing we haven't figured out yet, is how to keep it lit all night, you do mention in your posting warped grates, so here are some from this site:

Give Kring's Stove shop a call. They are in
Boyertown, Pa. They used to sell the stove.
I was a direct knock off of the Franco Belge.
