The worst part of the whole thing is that before they can fire on a target they have to get the ok from someone on duty back in the states.

Thanks for the support brother. I never imagined the prep work involved in getting aircraft up into the air to do their job until i was the guy doing the prep work. Man, its nice to see the end result on video. I'm usually fairly humble about my work but when i see this stuff i cant help but be a bit proud. BTW i have never worked on A-10s, only F-15C/D and E models and C-17s. And yes SMITTY it is calming, up here the fighters fly almost everyday to get their hours in and all. I live 50 miles from base and i still see and hear them, perhaps thats why i sleep so late.

Its the wonder of modern warfare, if they have a target in their sights it goes thru the satilite system & the target gets verified before permission to fire is given. They tried the same thing in V.N. but we just had the primative radio contact, sometimes it was clear as a bell then all of a sudden nothing but static.
