Hand Fed Coal Stove: Hitzer 30-95

Post by smokeyCityTeacher » Sun. Feb. 07, 2010 7:32 pm

Just got it hooked up and burning away at a couple shovels of coal.
So far this stove lives up to its reputation - putting out serious heat even without a blower unit.
Ill post pics soon and let you know how long it burns on a full load.

Thanks to everyone who recommended this stove.

It sure seems that 'Havin' a Chubby' is more important than almost everything else in life. I concur, and having experience with Larry, I sure hope he brings back these excellent and affordable heaters. They are rebuildable, even after years of hard use. .....made in Mass, and not by some huge corporation who you'll never get to know. There are thousands of them still in use, and the next generation of coal burners are going to find out our little secret. :D :D

Medical Disclaimer: If you own a Chubbystove and experience a lethargic draw toward any other warming product that uses fuel oil, propane, electric resistance elements or natural gas, seek immediate medical and psychiatric attention. If you experience heat from a Chubbystove lasting for more than 4 hours....well,that's a good thing!
