or hers....

You're fixing to find out how it feels to be an Obamite. Keep a drink handy to wash the taste of bitter disappointment down.

No way, man! NEVER! I meant that as a compliment to Sarah. Sorry, it didn't follow the continuity of the thread. I don't think she's the tallest tree in the forest, but I would vote for her due to her conservative outlook. I pretty much despise this administration.
I fell into debt in the early 90's, just a few grand. I was sick of being a self-employed handyman, and started slacking. The horrible feeling of being behind finally motivated me to work for somebody else. It was not a great wage and the boss was a cruel bastard sometimes. I paid half my credit card debt every month, and got out of trouble.
My greatest fear is the insane National Debt. I can't understand this administration.

And what do you believe Sarah will do about it? She wants to go to war with Iran. How's that going to help?

If Arnold Schwartzanegger and Pee-wee Herman were both threatening to kick your ass who would you be more afraid of?

Who is who in that woeful analogy?

I don't feel threatened by anyone except the a-holes in D.C.

"Say he decided to declare war on Iran or decided really to come out and do whatever he could to support Israel, which I would like him to do,"

Read the sentence again. You skipped the "or" which means she wants him to support Israel which she supports. It does not say she wants war with Iran.

So you discount the first part entirely?

If I said "I'd like to win a million dollars in the lottery or at least $10,000 which I could really use right now."

Does that mean I DON'T want to win a million dollars?

Grammatically speaking, "or" is a choice between two or more options. It is typically paired with "either"

"Say he decided to EITHER declare war on Iran or decided really to come out and do whatever he could to support Israel, which I would like him to do,"

I think what he meant was: If you were I'madinnerjacket, and Arnold Schwartzenegger ( Sarah Palin) and Pee-Wee Herman ( Maobamarx) were both threatening to kick your ass who would you be more afraid of?

I don't think she wants war, but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't stand for the things this admin. is. This is just my opinion, I don't have a great need to prove anything here in cyberspace, the extent of my political influence amounts to one vote. I just think Iran will only back off if they get convinced they will be vanquished.

I'm not sure at all if O has this country's best interests at heart. I'm not even sure if he's not part of some plot to destroy the Constitution.

I wonder how much more *censored* is gonna hit the fan in this crazy world......

Where does it say she wants a war with Iran? The article states that she said that a war with Iran would help Obama get reelected.

Right you are, but how about if I said: "I would like him to stop lying or to start telling truth which I would like him to do."

Am I advocating lying or truth?

Iran is not a unitary "they" that will back off or go forward. There's a great deal of turmoil in Iran of late, huge areas of citizen discontent. With any luck the discontent will result, in time, in a relatively bloodless revolution against the old-guard religious dictators. One of the principal ploys of despots is to rally the citizenry against an external threat, real or manufactured. So the more noise we (the US) make threatening Iran, the more we play into the hands of the dictators and undercut the new generation of protesters. The last thing we need is some abysmal moron like Palin talking about going to war with Iran, no matter how she phrases it.

Just wondering, I hear a lot of war talk both here & on other subjects. Who do you propose is going to fight these wars if someone runs around the globe declairing war. You ever wonder why so many contractors are in both Iraq & Afgan. its because we don`t have the troops to do it all. This latest surge of 30,000 troops also brought along in the nieghborhood of 46,000 contractors. The cost of these wars has to be astromical & now that we are actually going to begin to at the very least begin to pay for some things rather than just write a blank check its even more scary.

I agree, What should have been done from the beginning, back on Sept. 12, 2001 was the issuance of war bonds. We did it 70 years ago we can do it today.
