What a great storm! I headed out around 2pm and went to shovel my parents out in Denville, and then on the way back home I stopped at a friends house who just recently moved and shoveled them out too. When I got home around 630, I fired up the snowblower and did my driveways. We got about 12-13 inches here in Byram and it was a light weight snow. The snow in Ledgewood near Lake Rogerene was heavy and wet near the bottom.

I don't have a house phone, but my neighbor told me that 911 was sending out automated messages asking everyone to stay off the road.

Heres a couple pics of the Snow Mountain I made for our kids to play on. I just drove around the yard, aiming the snowblower at the same spot.

Snow total is about the same here in Stillwater. Light, fluffy snow. Yes, I got the automated phone call from the county at 2:20 yesterday afternoon.

We did not get any call from 911. Maybe we got less snow than you? We got a total of about 14 - 16"

Must be something that is on a county by county basis.

Not even a flake here....what gives with Mutha Nature this season? 18 degrees and windy. You guys aren't having a good week! Cheer up, winter days are getting longer, the sun is higher in the sky, and chances are the melting will be sooner than later. If you told me the Capital would shut down for a week, I'd think you were inhaling waaaay to many sulfer fumes!
Vancouver looks like it has an early spring....however we can't send the PA TT trucks full of snow fast enough to make the skiers happy. It's like the ski areas making snow for two weeks at 200,000 grand a day, then a rain storm comes and washes if down the mountain......

I think we got about 3/8" of snow from this one. Right on, weatherpeople! Another accurate forecast!

We're just over the mountain from you and I measured 12.5 inches on our patio table last night. Sure was pretty with the sun shining on it this morning!

We missed it again in Maine. Only one 8" storm since the end of December. A few 1" dustings since then. It's 30* out with gusty winds. Crazy winter for us. :?
