This past weekend, we lost power for 3 days with lows below 0. No power = no circulation pump for the Harman coal boiler. I couldn't find a generator. But, I was able to find a 1000 watt (2000watt surge) dc/ac inverter with 2 110v plugs at autozone. I was able to wire a plug to my grundfos circulator pump (only needs .75a) and we had heat. It ran for over 10 hours hooked to my idling quad, until I was able to get a generator. your mileage may vary but this kept my daughter warm and that's all I cared about at that moment in time.
