Odd Coal Weight Question

- Hot Air Coal Stoker Stove: 2) Leisure Line Pioneers, 1) Keystoker
- Hand Fed Coal Furnace: 1) Hitzer 82FA, 1) Newmac WG100
I tried a search and couldn't really find an answer. I am trying to figure out my coasl consumption and was wondering how much one gallon of anthracite nut coal weighed. I figured someone knew how much a five gallon pail held as far as pounds. Thanks!

About 8#, on average a 5 gallon pail holds about 40#.

Anthracte can weigh from 48lbs to 59lbs per cubic ft.
