Just got word that the schools are closed again tomorrow due to road conditions - packed snow with a cap of ice on the neighborhood streets. Not only could the buses not drive the routes, there is literally no where for the kids to stand safely while waiting as they pushed all the snow on to the sidewalks. On Tuesday they plan for a delayed opening so we can start in the daylight. That's probably a wise decision because we are forecasted to get 2-4 inches of the white stuff Monday night. The federal government was already closed for "President's Day". The extra day without buses or rush hour traffic on the roads may allow the bobcats - who have been working 24/7 - to get the side roads down to pavement with at least 2 lanes of traffic. Hopefully, this will be it for the winter but I'm not holding my breath; March is usually our worst month for snow. Be safe, Lisa
