"I believe that most trolls are sad people, living their lonely lives vicariously through those they see as strong and successful.
Disrupting a stable newsgroup gives the illusion of power, just as for a few, stalking a strong person allows them to think they are strong, too.
For trolls, any response is 'recognition'; they are unable to distinguish between irritation and admiration; their ego grows directly in proportion to the response, regardless of the form or content of that response.
Trolls, rather surprisingly, dispute this, claiming that it's a game or joke; this merely confirms the diagnosis; how sad do you have to be to find such mind-numbingly trivial timewasting to be funny?
Remember that trolls are cowards; they'll usually post just enough to get an argument going, then sit back and count the responses (Yes, that's what they do!). "

The moderators yelled at me. :( I thought the comment was quite benign myself.

I do believe we've reached the time to abandon this though. Your last few posts have not only been mean-spritited, but irrational; They don't even make any sense. Who are people like me? Middle class white men? Men 26-34? Self employed people? Or just anyone who disagrees with you on any level?
I don't know why you get so upset at me, but hey, whatever. Anyone with whom I was having an enjoyable conversation is no longer chiming in, and it's clear that your intent is not to discuss, but to disrupt. That's fine. The sad thing is that you may believe you've made such in indelible impression on me that I'm left with nothing to say. The fact is you represent a closed mindedness and show of bad faith that classically prevents any progress.

So I'm done, and yes good day and good life to you. Continue seeking the answers you want to hear, I assure you, you'll always find someone to give them to you.

The comment was benign, however it is name calling and we will not tolerate it on this board.
I'll agree there was some unpleasant posts and also agree that they were not on topic. So let's stop the nonsense everyone and get back to the subject of this thread please or I'll lock it.

We got about 4 to 5" of the crap last night & the night before -- still nowhere near what VA has got. Took me 10 minutes to make a few passes with the Polaris on the driveway. ;)

Supposed to hit 43° here tomorrow! Not conducive to snowfall, me no thinky ..... :D

I opted not to shovel off the flat roof here this time. Talk about decisions, I decided not to do the roof repairs until spring. The last time I shoveled it off, after the first storm this year, I realized I had put tears in the roofing! In such a place that it caused the roof to leak in the front. All this stained black water was dripping in up front near the garage doors.
I went up there on the night of an impending storm and spread that black tar roof coating (Karnak) around in the low spots. I patched the tears and looked for punctures where oak debris comes down in the wind. When I got done, there was misty pre-snow starting to fall. I knew the tar would have no chance to cure.
when the garage (my shop) starts to leak, I can smell it, musty wood smell.
After this significant last two storms, it's holding pretty well. Just a slight drip noticed today. I have to learn how to do torch-down roofing this spring, the cheap HD roll roofing aint holding up.

From a leak to a small drip.Hell, that ain't :) bad for the middle of the winter---don't let that project get wet :( I did the little bit of flat roof I've got with that & it's doin good 10 yr later--I borrowed a painter friends torch set up--thought I'd set the roof on fire a couple of times---slow & easy wins the race.
