However, if you're so convinced, why do you feel a need to retaliate against those of us that disagree? Fringe group? How many does that consist of? Five, ten Professor Frink types? Well, only seven years left before it's too late and AGW turns Earth into a boiling crucible like Venus.
The Joseph Joubert quote that appears at the bottom of each of your posts is the exact reason I feel it necessary to discuss things with the opposition. There was another quote I think it was Voltaire, that went something like "In political discussion, you cannot hope to change your opponents mind. You can only hope to increase understanding among all participants." Paraphrased of course.
The problem with global warming deniers that makes it impossible for me to leave the discussion alone is simply this: There is no debate. Climate change is not a theory. It's _really_ happening. Sure, there's _some_ debate about what, if any, role man's activities play in this conundrum, but that aspect has by in large been settled science for years.
So, let us increase each other's understanding. Instead of taking my statements and running away with them, responding with outlandish exaggerations of how you perceive my viewpoint, why don't you tell me exactly where you are on the issue? What do you think is happening or not happening, and what, if anything should we be doing in response to it?
