Hello I am wondering if installing a coal boiler with a coil in the duct work is a good idea or not? The house has forced air heat not a boiler system. Also would be used to heat hot water. Any info would be helpful. Thanks Jason

Probably both with would work fine with your setup, a furnace type stoker or boiler tied into your existing system.
I would think a furnace type stoker (Keystoker A-XXX, Koker, etc..) would be cheaper then a boiler system. You can heat you domestic with either type of system.
