Ever hear of this Tax?

Ever hear of this Tax?

PostBy: snuffy On: Wed Feb 24, 2010 12:24 am

I ordered some good reads for the pending "snowacaine" on 2/24-25. Checking my Amazon tracking number I saw this interesting tax notice - "Please be aware that items in this order may be subject to California's Electronic Waste Recycling Act. If any items in this order are subject to that Act, the seller of that item has elected to pay any fees due on your behalf."

This really "Smitty" me off - a little visual pun using smitty's forum image.

That major earthquake out there can't happen soon enough!!

Just about all states are not far behind Cal. but they keep spending like fools. Just goes to show the problem with all Gov., we keep voting the same people in & they loose sight with reality.

I don't know if you read about Gov. Rendells proposal in Pa. Wants to lower state sales tax from 6% to 4 %. But lift the tax exempt status on many never before taxed items. The one that really gets me is the tax on burial vaults, caskets and Funeral services if I remember correctly. And I firmly believe that in order for all the states and federal governments to get the message loud and clear. Is for We The People to vote them out. The politicians forgot who they work for. They believe they know better than we do. What is best for us. I am fed up with ever increasing taxes. On everything they can come up with. Whats next o2 meters installed on us so they can tax the air we breathe.

I just changed it too! :o Needed to reflect my anger at the wife's GMC Jimmy. :D

It's funny how all the most liberal states are also the ones with the most economic problems. I expect to see that tax in MA as soon as they sniff it out.

If you listened to what Rendell said it would be a zero impact tax, implying that everything would basically remain the same. If that was even the slightest bit true why would they do anything, hes either gonna hold the elderly or state workers or someone else hostage until he gets what he wants thats the way he operates, hes not going to run again so he wants to screw us big-time before he leaves.
