Still about 35000 still out, but those are all over the place, and the tree crews have to clear a path for miles. Not much fun.
Folks who bought generators got their power back on Sunday, so if anyone wants a 'lightly used' generator, there will be plenty for sale I'm afraid. Fortunately not many injuries, and that sits well with me. Nasty working conditions with felled trees, wires everywhere, and snow and ice to top it off.
I think that most folks will be up and running by Friday night, and perhaps the weary line crews can get some rest. The other side of the coin is that not only is power out, but data and phone lines are trashed also. Cable TV is not considered an 'Essential Service' so that will be a couple weeks more.......expensive snow storm!...and it's only March 1st!
