Countries that have a state religion/culture

When we consider Iran or a few other Muslim countries that are self proclaimed Muslim countries. The question arises .. isnt that polically incorrect for a country to have a state religion and like ..be upfront about the fact that is you are a Christan or JEw you are not going to be allowed to publicly express your religion. ?

According to most of the free world - the answer is NO..they are a sovereign nation and they have a right to protect their culture and racial religious identity.

I have never seen a reporter get in Achmedinajab's (sorry I can never spell him right) face and say how dare you have a state religion or how dare "you people" preserve your way of life and culture from the diversity of other religions and cultures !

The western press would not dare say such a thing to a Muslim nation even though we all know that not everyone is a Muslim in that country and not everyone ios heterosexual in that country and not everyone wants that way of life. The world only condemns a country like Iran when it publicly tyranizzes (sorry that might not be word either) its dissenters. But other than that - the world accepts that a Muslim nation is allowed to be A MUSLIM NATION and is allowed to be up front about not being friendly toward outside religions coming in and influencing their culture.

Amazingly they have no problem labeling the Dutch (WIlders) guy as a facist racist anti Islamic bigot hater who wants to do the exact same thing with his nation. If he wins the election to be the new PM - isnt that a more legitimate claim to leadership than the guy from Iran who stole the election thru fraud and military intimidation ?

So if this guy wins the election and says we are the Dutch and this is our culture and this is our religion - what business is it of the rest of the world to condemn him when we let an Islamic nation do the same without telling them that its politically incorrect to have state culture/religion etc ?

Bottom line - we lest eastern nations pretty much do anything they want and we dismiss it as "well that's a different culture" even if they brutalize women, oppress homosexuals and inflict violence on any culture that so much as critiques their religion.

If a European nation tries to define itself as being European and define its culture and religion ... the whole world rises up in condemnation - especially Islam.
I say Islam is hypocritical and the whole world feeds this spoiled brat that inflicts bloody violent tantrums on the world around it when it does not get its way.

I hope the guy become the next Dutch PM and I hope he tells the rest of the world what they can keep their opinions to themselves.

History is full of lessons on Theocracies, the main reason we have a separation of church and state in our constitution.
Iran is the current example of why that separation is crucial to a free society. Nations have identities or we would not have
them. The US is special in that our ideals are the basis of our identity, not our genetic codes. Blood is thicker than water, but
ideals permeate the very air we breath. The Dutch are worried about there identity, and are moving to preserve it. More power to them. Germans, English, French, they are all worried about it. All these countries should start having babies so when
they can stop the influx and still have enough people to populate and work their economies.
As a side note, if Muslim countries are so great, why are there so many leaving them? Could have something to do with the
sand based diet, being somebodies tool, and the value of ones life being less than a sheep.

Iran doesn't have a state religion, the religion is the state.

Precisely. I have long argued that Islamic borders were created by non-muslim westerners for their own convenience. Islam is the nation. Beware the invasion of Islam.

Influence...or be influenced. It's a jungle out there.
