I've discovered that I have a Cole Hot Blast coal stove. We're moving, and I need to dispose of it. Where can I find information about its value, and who/what kind of place might be interested in it?

I did a quick search and found this link but it doesn't mention a Hot Blast stove. It talks about a Hot Blast Furnace. Does your appliance have any labels or other identifying markings? Can you post some pictures? Obviously, the value of your appliance is going to depend on what you actually have and what condition it’s in. If you can be more specific I'm sure someone can direct you to an appropriate link or give you ideas of how to sell this appliance. Good Luck, Lisa

Yes, it is a heater, not a stove. There is no model #; the serial number ends in 830V. The lining bricks are intact. A grate for holding the coal is missing. The outside is porcelain.

I don't know what to tell you. Without the coal grate it won't be worth much. Maybe you could find a replacement grate through the company or at one of the on line parts store. Beyond that you could list it on Craig's list and see what response you get. Maybe someone will want it for parts. Lisa
