Looks like a "wondercoal" to me, I used one to burn wood years ago, never really liked it, just ugly but did do a decent job.

The price is right, you could always resell in the fall.

Back when I was a he-man, I once had an Atlanta Homesteader that was identical to that, except the knob was in the middle. It threw a lot of heat, just not enough to keep me away from stokers...

I just lit my circulator for the evening. Mine's a Kenmore, but they're all the same design. Bi-metallic thermostat, ugly but quite efficient. Does that one have shaker grates? Whoever gets it will need a MPD in the vertical run out the back of the stove. They'll run away with you before the thermostat closes on startup without the MPD. Once running, the temp in the house never varies more than a couple of degrees throughout the entire burn.

Used the wood version for some years. Great heater, stable temperature with the thermostat, excellent movement of air by convection alone due to the cabinet design, no fan needed. Tremendous creosote producer with wood, at least for me. But that wouldn't be a problem with coal. I wouldn't hesitate to use one for coal if you don't mind the appearance, which I personally think is not bad.
