Obama Not Worried

"I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate"

Words of wisdom from Dear Leader. Who needs all these stupid rules anyway?

Once you realize that you have not idea what is best for you and let the elite ruling class run things the better off you will be.

Oh dear God, please no Sarah Palin. She has done absolutely nothing to raise her bonofides (sp?) to make a serious run at the Presidential nod. I'm a conservative with a strong nod to libertarian leanings. I do appreciate her folksy, common person persona. She gave a great VP nomination acceptance speech at the convention. But she does not have an ounce of policy or political gravitas, with the possible exception of energy policy. Her claim to an innate, common sense grasp of conservative or libertarian philosophies is tenuous at best. And there is such a mountain of baggage she brings with her... She is a radioactive candidate, despite the strong, relatively small core following she's fostered. She has a place in the political landscape, but it is not (at least for the 2013 cycle) as a Presidential candidate. Maybe 2016 or further out.

She really needs to reengage by getting elected to lower federal office, get through 4-6 years of elected office, and prove she's got what it takes to operate on the national political stage and make it through the political shredder that she ditched as Alaska's governor. Even Hillary needed to take this step before being considered a serious candidate for the Dems. Sarah threw her track to the Presidency into jeopardy by quitting the governorship. You can ditch one job by getting elected or appointed to higher office, but you don't get to quit outright and claim the backbone to be elected to higher office.

Forget Palin altogether.

She will never garner the respect to continue in high office.

I have to agree with you 100%. Sarah Palin is not the candidate for 2012. I'm keeping an eye of Paul Ryan, he makes more sense every day. Lisa

McCain would have been better served by chosing a more solid candidate than Sara Palin but I don't think he had the stomach for it. I believe he wanted someone who would be a charmer but not a political threat.

I don't think Sara Palin is interested in running for president. I think she is more interested in promoting Sara Palin Inc. and perhaps securing a place for herself as a Republican fixture/influence.

Just my 2 cents.

I really don't think we would have fared much better with McCain in office because he also is a progressive. What we need is to get a constitutionalists in office period and vote out all the representatives that are up for re-election in 2012. This way those that are put in office will KNOW whats in store for them when they try to pull the crap that happened over the last few decades. Then we need to prosecute all those who had the audacity to usurp the constitution. I'm all for public hangings
