Is it just me or is this one of the most horrendous local sites around. Here's my experience so far.... I went there looking for a article in today's paper. I typed the address into the address bar and I get a pop-up. No real big deal but I'm using Win XP with SP2 which is supposed to block all pop-ups. I'm still researching how they do it but I suspect it's something to do with the link structure.
Anyhow if you unblock pop-ups you not only get the one that's not blocked but 2 additional ones. These continue for each link you click. If you click 3 links that would amount to 9 open windows in IE with ads. I understand the reasn for ads but that's ridiculous.
Upon further investigation if you block the ads clicking anywhere on the page brings up the ad..... What jackasses.
Edit: Still not sure exactly why that single pop-up is getting thru since some others have tried the site and IE sucessfully blocks them. I have a old version of MS VM installed which I suspect is the culprit. Doesn't matter though that amount of pop-ups is ridiculous whether blocked or not.
