Stay here,Ken.....We could use our opponents strength against him. Take all the Obama money you can (Left hand out, palm upturned) Then ash-can your debts through Obamabankruptcy. That would be of course after you've lowered your tax hit by losing your job,or lowering your income to fit into his business model. Final Step-smile,knowing you've kept your ethics by being a Conservitive Wolf in Marxist clothing. It's called subterfuge and diversion. It worked well for the French Resistance against the Nazis in World War 2. They'd just smile and wave on their way to foul things up for the Nazi Occupying forces. All very sad and sick ideas, but this 'aint our Dad's Country anymore..... :help:

I applied for a passport, hope it comes soon. I was thinking about New Zealand. There's a lot of info about it. I was thinking about Canada too. Right now I'm laying low and trying to keep my chin up. I might be dreaming, may be best to stay here.

Don't go to Canada. They are even more screwed up than we are. They avoided most of the banking issues we have but their tax situation sucks and local/provincial/federal debt is a big problem. Unless you are seriously ill you have to wait forever for a doctor's appointment and elective surgery is also a long, long wait. Canadians are great neighbors but I think we still have a better deal overall on this side of the border.

My wife, who is a french-canadian, would not agree with me on all points but I don't think she would ever move back.

It's too bad we're even talking about this. I don't want to just fold up and run away from the USA that I love so much. It's tragic that I'm even thinking about it. I've never seen this country more divided. I was helping a young friend of mine, I even got a copy of his college textbook to help tutor him. He started in with the liberal worship of Obama last night and took a smug liberal attitude. This guy is 26, we have tried to have discussions about our differences; similar to what goes on here, it can get really heated. I sent him a commonly available chart about Obamas deficit compared to Bush's, he came back and dismissed it as conservative propaganda. Now I've told him to get another tutor. Is this how this country is being undermined, by divide and conquer?

Divide & conquer is exactly what is happening Dan & its coming from both extremes, the powers entrenched in both houses & on both sides, the whole time they are laughing all the way to the bank. I would stay here, its not going to be easy but IMO it will be interesting, no matter which way you lean educate yourself with an open mind & vote. There are always at least two sides to everything but the truth now adays is usually somewhere in between IMHO.
