What's the cheapest place you guys know of to pickup anthracite from PA? I'm in wisconsin and would like to throw up an inquiry on uShip to see what trucking's gonna cost me.... Just gotta know what the cheapest brand is to buy in bags...... I'm sick of wood and I really want to make coal work for me......

i don't know if it is the cheapest but bagged blackshack anthracite here in sunbury pa at coles hardware is 5.95 a bag

How much coal do you need? You can always order a TT load right from one of the coal companies. Kimmel's, (Penn Coal) would be happy to ship you a truckload of bagged coal.

It will probably cost you more to buy bags here and have then shipped there. The cost of bags here is not all that much less than they are elsewhere.
You can however save money buying it in bulk from the breaker but you need to purchase a whole trailer truck load.

He told me the same thing a couple of years ago and I couldn't believe it so I spent a lot of time spinning my wheels finding out for myself. Believe him, the cost of bagged coal is about the about the same were ever you buy it, about $6 or $7 a bag. That being the case what I do is find the closest dealer to my house and if he is around that price I buy from him and go get it in my pickup. My savings comes in that I'm only paying transportation from that business to my house not all the way to the breaker. Unless you can buy a bulk truckload, the cheapest coal, I'd find the closets dealer to your house, let them pay the transportation to that point and either rent a truck and go get it or they might deliver if they are close enough.
