Artic Sea Ice... About Normal.

Actually not quite normal as it should have begun a downward trend at this point but instead has plateaued and actually has a little up tick at the end.

FYI recent wind events have been linked to the precipitous drop over the last few years, particularly those in 2007 when the ice reached it's lowest recorded levels.

Much of the record breaking loss of ice in the Arctic ocean in recent years is down to the region's swirling winds and is not a direct result of global warming, a new study reveals.

Ice blown out of the region by Arctic winds can explain around one-third of the steep downward trend in sea ice extent in the region since 1979, the scientists say.

Here is a really well written article about Moore Island. I had heard about this, another attempt to scare the populace into believing the sea levels are drastically rising. Although this is in UFO Digest, it is the best written article I found on the subject. Well worth reading.
