How long

How long

The northeast had quite a bunch of rain here this week right after 39" of snow melted off, last tuesday my basement had enough water in it [ 4" ]that I shut the 520 off because I didn't want to wade through the water, so I go down saturday afternoon to relight it and I open the door to make a hole in the ashes in the pot to make a spot to start my little oak fire that alway starts first time, as I dip my hand into the cold ashes, :o I yank my hand out because it's still HOT a inch under the surface, after being off for over 4 day's, how long will it stay lit.

I flipped the switch and put a wrench on the square drive end of the auger and turned it about 20 times and in less then 10 min it was running full bore :)

Now as Paul Harvey used to say for the rest of the story, last week we had a unseasonably warm week so I shut off the switch to the circulator and the stoker for the week and went down on saturday to relight it because it had gotten chilly out side and I found the pot full of unburnt new coal, WTH, but while I was standing there the stoker started to run on it's own, seem that my timer that comes on for 1 min every 30 min is wired in ahead of the on/off switch for the stoker and that is what I belive is why it stayed hot for 4 days the last time I had it shut off
