I'm still burning. I'll go to mid-June heating domestic hot water, then I'll shut down, switch over to oil and do maintenance on the coal unit.

Still burning here just because it gets cold enough at night. I'll probably pull the plug next week though. Down to 1,000 lbs of soggy Blashchak in a santa bag. Last year all I had left was (4) 50 lb bags and some loose material.

We had several nights of sub-freezing temps. heavy frost in the morning.. highs in the mid 50's, so yep still burning.. but it doesn't burn much in these temps.

With deep regret I must announce I am shutting down the Alaska today, running out of coal. I'll be burning oil for DHW for about a week till I make a coal run. I bought 10 gallons of oil yesterday.
The stove needs to be shut down for maintenance anyway, so there is a good side to this.

I was going to post something about burning, but then I saw that this was in the bituminous section. I'm not burning that stuff.

OOPS! Didn't notice the heading. It's all good, though, coal is coal.
