Sell the wood buy coal with the cash... :D
Depends on condition of the stove and the price of oil...
Bought mine for $500 and it came with 8 bags of coal...
Only had one coal fire in it and his wife said it must go...
It had sat in the basement for a year and the wife was on his case...
I came in at the right time and place...
I would say 50% to 80% of the stove retail price...

I got $1000 for a 3 year old Mark I .... but this was during the height of the oil panic of '08. I almost couldn't buy a replacement! The timing worked out well, as I got top dollar ... which helped soften the hit of the Mark III I bought to replace it.

Start high & work your way down. You'll know when your close -- you'll start getting more inquiries.

I think that stove right now is close to $2000 maybe more. I have one I will be painting and refurbishing this summer and I hope to get $700 during the fall season.
