Ahmadinejad seeks US visa for nuclear meet

PostBy: smokeyCityTeacher On: Wed Apr 28, 2010 8:29 pm

the same guy who rails at America and leads his audience in "Death to America" chants during his speeches.

Once again the U.S embraces those who openly instigate and celebrate her (and her allies) destruction while treating those who give their lives for her with utter contempt.

Iran is a signer of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the United Nations, and presumably is entitled to representation at the NPT discussions. Much as we may despise the guy, it is not the place of the United States unilaterally to set rules for the UN. I suppose instead of talking with nations we don't like, we could take the gorilla approach of jumping up and down and pounding our chests and baring our teeth and screaming. How dignified is that, and how does it advance our interests, unless our interest is to make us look stupid to the rest of the world?

That's kind of a non sequitur. Left over from another thread, maybe?

Obama is the champion of that. Bow Down Barry.

And you put it, talking with nations we don't like, here's another opinion you won't accept, they don't like us either, i.e. Iran, you know actively trying to acquire nuclear weapons so they can destroy Israel. You know Israel, the country Obama likes to snub.

Some of us would prefer to jump up and down and pound our chests rather than go into a submissive posture and get it in the can. That's what happens in the primate world.

We already look stupid because Obama agrees to talks with no pre conditions and Ahmadman ridicules him (and us) to the world and makes it clear that he knows Obama has to spine or teeth. Every time this guy calls Obamas bluff he shows him to be more impotent.

Obama's strategy of talk talk talk is stupid and backfiring because now we either have to pull the trigger or show the world what they knew all along. Obama is a toothless nag.

Obama is a toothless nag.

Most humorous description I have heard so far.

Once again it seems that most here would rather attack than talk, so I was just wondering how many here have a game plan in mind. How to finance another war ( should be done even if not so in the past), what provacation warrents our attack, how many here are willing to sign up to go to war (believe it or not we don`t have the troops for still yet another war), its always been standard procedure for a visa to be granted for meetings want (besides him being an AH makes this time different)? Do you believe it would be a better option to simply shoot him out of the air on his way here & see which way Iran goes once they see how serious the rest of the world can be.

I`m sure it could be done & they would never know it was coming. Maybe even test out a new weapon that would simply shut the plane down.

I`m not defending anyone, just asking who, what & how this proposed action will be paid for in money & lives for the most part. Another question, how many times in history has the U.S. started an unprovoked war? Or one in which we came to the defense of our allies.

Every speech Obama gives only reinforces our impotence once it became clear we are all talk and have no plan. There is no game plan for Armageddon.

Iran is going to be a nuclear nation and no one including Isreal can stop it. They can only start WWW3 by trying.

Like I asked Smokey, what would you propose we & or our allies do, on the same line why should only the nations of certain choosing be permitted to develop nukes, just maybe the fact that some nations (us included) seem to want to dictate to the rest of the world how they should run their countries cause a lot of the hatred towards us. While we`re busy running around the globe helping others out our own infrastructure is falling apart.
Maybe you can tell me what the plan was when we got into the two wars we`re into now was, or did you forget about them.

No, no. Not defending Ahmadinejad. I wouldn't mind if we discreetly blew his plane out of the air. If we can do it undetected, there's a list of other cruds I would recommend for similar treatment. But it's not worth starting a war over. My point was, the US should not try to dictate who can attend UN meetings.

You want my plan ?

1) Announce immed withdrawl of ALL troops worldwide and tell the world something lke "We are gonna get out own house in order before we become your policeman
- but if we see u s a clear and present threat we leave all our options on the table"
JUST SAVED A FEW $TRILL

2) Announce that the UN is no longer on US soil. We cant afford to pay its bills - the world can move it to Iran if they like.
JUST SAVED several $BILL

3) Announce to the IMF that the US no longer bails out other countries.
JUST SAVED several $BILL

4) Tell the world that no "Death To America" type dictators are welcome here.

5) Announce to the world that we have just pased a law that wil make Iran illegal forever - the bombing starts in 15 minutes

Yeah, I guess you're right. I just would prefer to see our leaders take a strong stance as a deterrent to the likes of Iran, I believe they will only ever respond to force or the real intent of using it.

Hey Smokey,

Samhill, don't forget Hussein invaded Kuwait. A little more of that and no more Middle East oil for our strategic interests. Pretty much had to swat that fly, I don't know why we didn't just flatten Baghdad the first time. Might have changed history for the better.
And don't forget 9/11. I won't forget it because I saw NYC that day from here in NJ. And don't forget that all the democrats were for the war too.
