A controversial immigration law in Arizona may be coming to Pennsylvania.

Newswatch 16 has learned a version of it will unveiled by a state lawmaker next week.

"I believe alone we can only do so much but together we can do more," said Penn State student Terry Robinson.

Students gathered Friday at the Schuylkill campus of Penn State University near Schuylkill Haven. It was billed as a stand against racism. It's goal was to eliminate racism by raising awareness.

We'll never see the likes of that here in NY. I wonder how people keep missing the "illegal" part of "illegal immigrants". The term "undocumented immigrants" should be banned.

"Amilcar Arroyo is a Hispanic community leader. "The way to fix the problem is to wait for the federal government, President Obama and the Congress to change and make reform in the immigration law," Arroyo said."

HAHAHAHAHA adios American Culture.

I'm all for it. I have seen enough of our small coal region towns overrun with people who exploit the system. If our legislators have the stones to do it remains to be seen.

Was at the Dr's in Hazleton last week. 2 latinos came in, could not read the sign in sheet, had their interpreter do it for them, could not sign their name in English. Pulled out the medical card provided by you and I,got all their bloodwork and office visit for a grand total of $3, yes $3. I am dead serious people. They left right after I did, in their Escalade. Enough is enough.

Bring it on! It only takes one more state to adopt it and If PA takes a stand, other states will follow. Like the cell phone laws. I think LI, NY was the first and the rest is history.

Thank God for Arizona. :)

We can only hope, but I doubt if any of our politicians have enough balls to even mention this one Except for the whining about how unfair it is--God,it's times like this when I wish that NYC didn't hold most of the votes in NY(Bleedin heart city fools)

Just saw on the news Rendell saying he would veto it if it's the same as Arizona law.

I agree. I still remember that income tax increase he sneaked in on us after being elected. It was so secret many of the employers didn't know about it. Time for Eddie to hit the road.

Who's a good next PA governor to vote for? One that might accept the immigrant law?
