My project for this past weekend was replacing our kitchen countertops. There were a few snags: The corner next to the fridge is about 3/8" out of square, so I had to do some delicate router work on the backsplash. The "lazy Susan" under the same corner prevented access to 5 or 6 screws that held the original countertop in place, so I ended up taking some of the cabinets apart to gain access.
We already had the sink and Delta fixture, but the plumbing under the sink was a disaster. I completely replaced the drain pipes with PVC and fresh pex to the Delta fixture. A local guy made the countertops, and the entire project ended up costing about $850; we are very happy with the results.
At some point down the road I would like to eliminate the eating area (not shown, I was standing there when I took the pictures) and remodel the kitchen to gain counter and cabinet space.
