Embedding Youtube Videos in Posts

You can embed videos from youtube in your posts using BBCode. All you need is the base URL of the youtube video, this can be found on the videos webpage or in your browsers address bar. Do not use the link in the share button becsue it has different format. When you post this:

It will produce this:

Note that the following examples will not work:

*If you are copying it from the address bar of your browser there may be other parameters appended to the URL and you have to remove them, for example if you click a related video in the right pane the URL will look like this and will not work:

Anything after the ampersand has to be deleted, this will work:

I must have missed class that day...and cannot seem to get it.
so i click the share button , right click and copy the url, come to the post and click u tube, click and paste the url inbetween the u tube, and all it does is post the link.

ok then i see after clicking the "hd" button, which appears after the first "share" click, that the url expanded a bit, but this also dont work.

it used to be easy. so then i joined, err signed in, and same thing...

??? i wonder what is wong? no clickie no laundry?

Is this the one you were trying to do?
I always copy the URL from the address bar and edit it as Richard mentioned.

It seems like the ampersand has to be removed too.

Pocono,i thought i was just getting on to it and it quit working for me. i was copying the url then to post new topic, if it was from u-tube i would just hit the u-tube tab then shift and insert keys at the same time and it would work,,, now sometimes it works and other times it wont

i was kinda good at it at one time gonna try again..

I just tried to embed a youtube video-- it is not working. A direct copy from the share box in youtube.

I noticed youtube is f**ked up lately. Just copy and paste from the address bar. That will work for you. For some reason the share box is screwing up the address.

They changed the domain with the share button, you have to use the one in the address bar for now:
