Ok, I've been working a lot on my house project, most lately and painfully on the 8-900sqft slate tile floor.. I have torn meniscus [sp?] in both knees that bother me off and on throughout the year, depending on what I'm doing.. But with the slate floor project I really was working and flexing my knees a lot, and they really 'talked back' to me..
I normally take a multivitamin, like Centrum Silver.. and large dose of Glucosamine-Chondroitin for my knees.. and have been for 15+ years.
I have added since I started this project:
MSM
Hyluronic Acid
Calcium
Fish oil
The above combination does seem to help with the pain and stiffness much more than just the G-Ch did.
And additional suggestions, other than Smitty's large dose of ethanol ??

I have painful leg joints too. Tried the G-CH route in the dosage listed on the bottle with no results so I stopped.
I eventuallly found my self at a homeopathic doctor that recommended I try it again but with increased dosage.
I now take 7200 mg of Omega 3/6 fish oil and 6000mg of G-Ch every day. Half after breakfast and half after dinner.
This seems to do the trick. I'm not 18 again, but I don't dread getting out of bed in the morning and I don't make "the old man noise" when I get out of a chair anymore.

I agree with the fish oil and vitamin. There is a new product called Flexcin you guys might want to check into, they say it working real well for joints.
